Show off how you look on an average day. Don't use a "glamour" shot on your profile. Sure, you look fantastic, but will you be able to live up to that image when it comes time to meet your match? You're more likely to get responses by posting an everyday picture.
Use a current picture. Do not post high school graduation photos, baby pictures, or that awesome shot from 10 years ago. If you don't have a recent photo, ask a friend with a digital camera to shoot your portrait.

Then it is off to the shops with you for good quality cologne and a grooming kit. Men are so often criticized for smelling bad. Get into a regular showering routine so you will always smell fresh and clean. Women appreciate it.

According to a new study by UCI researchers, a lot of online daters single out specific races to date -- and these choices often reflect negative cultural stereotypes about black women and Asian men.

The data, which was collected from Yahoo! Personals users in 2004-05, shows that white men tend to look for Asian and Latino dating partners over African-Americans, while white women often exclude Asian males.

Attraction and chemistry play a huge role in whether or not two people are compatible, and it's definitely possible that someone just isn't attracted to a specific characteristic shared by a large population of a certain race. But, at what point does who you're willing to date say something bad about you?
